Chile Rugby Fixtures 2023

The world’s eyes will be on Chile’s national Men’s Rugby team in 2023. Los Cóndores will make their debut at the Rugby World Cup. The South Americans will compete in Pool D at France 2023 and face Japan, Samoa, England and Argentina in that order.

Every one of Chile’s Rugby World Cup 2023 matches will be historic. Los Cóndores have never played against England, Japan or Samoa. Meanwhile, the match against Argentina will mark the first-ever Rugby World Cup fixture between two South American teams.

There are to be additional firsts for Chile in 2023. Los Cóndores are going to play four warm-up matches prior to the tournament. Chile will play two non-capped matches against the Argentina XV and play test matches against Uruguay and Namibia.

The match between Namibia and Chile will officially begin international competition between the teams. Namibia will compete in Pool A of Rugby World Cup 2023 facing Uruguay, Italy, New Zealand and hosts France.

Chile’s Rugby World Cup matches will be played on both sides of the continent. Chile will begin will an away match against Uruguay. Los Teros will play host to Los Cóndores at the Estadio Charrúa in Montevideo on Saturday, July 29.

Chile will next play the Argentina XV. The venue for the Saturday, August 05 fixture is yet to be confirmed. The teams will also play a match on Saturday, August 26. That fixture will be played in Santiago.

Chile has another fixture in between the two matches against the Argentina XV. Los Cóndores will take-no Namibia on Saturday, August 12. As noted the match is a first; never before has there been a match between Chile and Namibia. They will play at the Estadio Germán Becker in the Southern Chilean city of Temuco.
