England to Train in Colorado

The English National team is set to visit Colorado to train in their preparation for the upcoming Rugby World Cup. The side, which should challenge for the World Cup title, will be in Glendale, Colorado for two weeks starting on July 13th for training.

With an altitude of 5280 feet above sea level, the Denver area definitely fits the bill for high altitude training as Head Coach Stuart Lancaster aims to test his players ahead of the tournament. England plans to make use of Infinity Park in Glendale for their training. Infinity Park is the home of the 2015 Pacific Rugby Premiership Champions Glendale Raptors.

England, one of the most scrutinized teams in World Rugby, faces a difficult Rugby World Cup draw as they are pooled with Australia, Wales, Fiji, and Uruguay. Advancing to the RWC quarterfinals is far from a given for a side that is expected to compete for the Webb Ellis Cup at every World Cup. Their match against Wales should prove to be a pivotal test in their quest to reach the World Cup knockout stage.

Unconfirmed rumors also suggest that England may be playing an exhibition match against a US Barbarians side while they are in Glendale.
