Old Glory DC have unveiled their full roster for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. Included are a pair of forwards who have extended their stay, second row David Beach and flanker Brady Daniel.
Beach made one appearance for Old Glory last season before being loaned to the Utah Warriors, there he would play three games including his first MLR start. The 27-year-old, who stands 6’7″ (2.01m), returns to DC for his third campaign with the club and should see increased playing time this year.
Daniel, 23, is the younger brother of USA Eagles flanker Cory Daniel. An All-American wrestler in high school, Brady landed in DC in time to made one appearance last season. He made the move from Glendale where he was playing with the American Raptors.
DC’s roster totals 35 players but notably does not include Collegiate Draft pick Jack Manzo. Last year’s picks LJ Koi-Larbi and Palema Roberts are also absent, along with props Jack Carroll, Will Vakalahi, and Jake Ilnicki. There are five props and two scrumhalves.
