Third season for loose forward Kara Pryor in New York

Kara Pryor has committed to a third Major League Rugby campaign in New York. The loose forward will celebrate his 32nd birthday before the start of the regular season. Older brother Dan Pryor, also a back row forward, will play a third year with the San Diego Legion.

Since arriving from New Zealand in 2021, Pryor has been a key member of the side with 26 appearances. All but three of those were starts with a dozen games played in 2022. Despite his strong form, Pryor was surprisingly left out of the lineup for the Championship Final match against the Seawolves.

Though primarily a flanker in his home country, Pryor has typically been used at the back of the scrum for New York. He joins fellow loose forwards Ben Bonasso, Brendon O’Connor, Joe Basser, and Pago Haini in returning for the defending champions, with Brad Tucker arriving from Seattle.
