Americas players in Champions Cup – Quarter Finals

It is crunch time in Europe with the eight Quarter Finalists of the Champions Cup taking to the field in England and France. No side from the Guinness Pro 12 was able to secure a spot in the final eight, making this a vastly different scenario than in prior years. Featuring will be a number of Americas players in Champions Cup – Quarter Finals.

First up on Saturday will be an all-Premiership match in Coventry with the former London Wasps hosting the Exeter Chiefs. The Chiefs remarkably booked their place by accident following a brain-freeze from former French scrum half Morgan Parra in round 6. It meant Jamie Cudmore and his Clermont teammates were eliminated.

Game two will see Saracens hosting the Northampton Saints in another all-Premiership match-up. The London-based side is to feature the now-retired USA captain Chris Wyles. The long-time serving Eagles star will play left wing while the young Titi Lamositele has been named on the bench as has former Puma Marcelo Bosch.

At Welford Road on Sunday the Leicester Tigers will host Stade Français in what is the third match between the clubs this season. Starting at loosehead prop for the Tigers will be an Argentine veteran of three Rugby World Cups, Marcos Ayerza. The visitors are coached by former Puma Gonzalo Quesada. Starting for his side will be Argentine-Italian Sergio Parisse.

Last up will be the underachieving Racing 92 playing host to the three-time reigning champions, Toulon on Sunday. Featuring on the left wing for the home side will be Juan Imhoff whlie former Puma Manuel Carizza will feature as a replacement. Also among the Racing 92 reserves will be the Argentine-Italian Martín Castrogiovanni. Toulon is without both Samu Manoa and Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe.
