Old Glory re-signs second row Tevita Naqali

Old Glory DC have confirmed the return of another leading member of their forward pack. Second row Tevita Naqali will play a fourth season in the nation’s capital. The 29-year-old Fijian spent the Major League Rugby off-season playing with White Plains in the American Rugby Premiership.

Naqali has been an ever-present for DC since arriving ahead of their inaugural MLR campaign in 2020. This past year he played 11 games, all starts, including two games at blindside flanker.

All three of Old Glory’s primary second rowers are back from 2022, with Api Naikatini and Stan South already confirmed. David Beach was loaned to Utah towards the end of the season but is set return with DC in 2023. It’s not clear yet if Matt Gordon will be continuing with the club.
