Old Glory confirms second season for speedster Peni Lasaqa

Old Glory DC have confirmed a second Major League Rugby campaign for winger Peni Lasaqa in the nation’s capital. The 22-year-old speedster is the 13th returning player to commit to the club during the off-season, following the likes of Jack Iscaro, Danny Tusitala, and Mike Dabulas.

Lasaqa enjoyed his first season in DC after making the move from New Zealand. He made 14 appearances on the right wing and impressed with his pace and attacking flair. With 9 tries scored, Lasaqa finished level with Junior Sa’u for most on the team.

Doug Fraser and William Talataina will also return to Old Glory’s backline, with John LeFevre and Owen Sheehy expected to join them on the confirmed list in the coming days. Newcomers to date include Argentine pair Joaquín Díaz Bonilla and Fermín Martínez, and Collegiate Draft pick Mike Weir.
