Cole Keith leaves Toronto for New England

Toronto Arrows prop Cole Keith is shipping off to Boston. The 25-year-old Canadian international has been acquired by the New England Free Jacks in exchange for salary cap considerations. He follows fellow front rower Andrew Quattrin in trading the Big Smoke for Beantown.

Keith has been a fan-favorite for Arrows fans since joining the club for their inaugural 2019 Major League Rugby campaign. He took over as first choice tighthead prop the following season, but in 2021 moved across the front row to play loosehead for both the Arrows and Canada.

Originally from New Brunswick, Keith will ironically be closer to home despite making the move across the border. He played all 16 games for the Arrows in 2022, with 13 starts in the No1 shirt.

With 25 test caps to his name Keith should feature heavily for the Free Jacks in 2023. He is the third Canadian international to join New England’s front row stocks along with Quattrin and returnee Foster DeWitt. Former Canada u20 prop Conor Young was also unveiled by the club just hours ago.
