Los Pumas are traveling to Durban with changes. The roster sees seven players from the roster for the Buenos Aires test match missing from the group that will prepare in Durban for the final match of the 2022 Rugby Championship.
Props Thomas Gallo and Santiago Medrano return to their respective clubs in Europe The same is the case for N8 Rodrigo Bruni, fly half Tomás Albornoz and winger Santiago Cordero. Scrum-half Eliseo Morales missed out after having been invited to training last week.
A 29-man roster will prepare for the match in Durban on Saturday, September 24. The roster features two changes, both of which come at loose head prop. First, Mayco Vivas returns to the roster. Second, Ignacio Calles joins the roster from France. He will have his first opportunity under Michael Cheika.
Calles made his test debut for Argentina in 2021. He did so in the November Internationals. He will be looking to earn his third test cap against South Africa. He played for the Argentina XV in July against Georgia and Portugal.
