The Toronto Arrows have confirmed their third player and second re-signing for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. Mitch Richardson has put pen to paper on an extension that will see him play a fifth season for the club, having been with the team since its inception.
After playing a largely reserve role in previous campaigns, Richardson started the first three games of the season and would finish the season with a dozen appearances and 10 starts. He doubled his playing minutes of 2021 and showed versatility as he split time between outside center and wing.
It’s in the midfield where the 26-year-old should be primarily considered in 2023. He’ll be joined by a newcomer of similar stature and attributes in Canadian-eligible Nic Benn from Australia. Flyhalf Sam Malcolm, from New Zealand, has also been re-signed for his fifth year with Toronto.
