Final Americas rosters for World Sevens Challenger tourney

Core spots on the 2022-2023 World Sevens Series are up for grabs in Santiago this weekend. Only the winner in each of the Men’s and Women’s Challenger brackets will celebrate success. The Estadio Santa Laura will provide the backdrop with seven Americas teams in all competing.

Home side Chile have put forth a competitive outfit in the Men’s Pool A, while Jamaica are in Pool B and Uruguay in Pool C. Hong Kong, Tonga, and Germany will also be expected to do well while Uganda proved a credible outfit at the Commonwealth Games.

Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico will represent the Americas on the Women’s side. It’s Japan who are likely to be favored, however, given their previous Series experience. China, Poland, and Belgium are other teams to watch.

The tournament begins on Friday and runs through Sunday. A full fixture list can be seen here. All games will be streamed on the same page except for Latin American viewers who can watch on Star Plus.
