Los Cuervos Upset Old Christians in Uruguay Qualifying Tournament this past weekend. The 24-17  home win sees Los Cuevos rocked up into first position in the standings after two rounds. Also producing an upset was Trébol who overcame last year’s runners-up, Old Boys 29-28. Both Old Christians and Old Boys fielded their strongest lineups

In other results PSG completed an impressive victory over Lobos while Montevideo Cricket (MVCC) were crushed 87-7 by Carrasco Polo.

Old Boys will be looking to bounce back in round three when they host Lobos. Old Christians, though are to have the round off. PSG will have an opportunity of continuing their fine form when they host MVCC while Carrasco Polo, Trébol and Los Cuervos will also all play at home.

The top six placed teams at the completion of the qualifying tournament will seal their places in the Campeonato Uruguayo, Uruguay’s national club championship. The Campeonato Uruguayo is to be played from July to November.
