Americas Players in Premiership – Week 17

One could be forgiven for not knowing that there is to be a round of Aviva Premiership taking place in England this weekend. With attention firmly directed at Super Saturday and, specifically at Le Crunch the domestic competition will see week 17 taking place and a number of Americas players are to be involved.

First up will be Bath vs Newcastle Falcons in what is Friday’s only fixture. Starting for the visitors will be World Cup Puma Juan Pablo Socino who is to do so at inside center. Also featuring are to be the Agulla brothers. Horacio Agulla will wear the number 23 shirt for bath while Belisario Agulla will do so for Newcastle.

Points for Newcastle will do the team’s chances of survival a tremendous boost. The club is fighting to stay in the Aviva Premiership with the Worcester Warriors and London Irish the two others who could, possibly, drop. Worcester will have an opportunity of gaining points away to the Harlequins who will be without test players.

Meanwhile on Sunday London Irish’s home fixture against the resurgent Gloucester is simply a must-win match. London Irish returned from New Jersey without any competition points last weekend, adding to their difficult task of avoiding relegation.

Involved against Gloucester will be Canadians  Ciaran Hearn and Jebb Sinclair. Hearn will play his 12th Premiership match for the club and again start at outside center. Sinclair will feature off the bench and is likely to come on to play opposite Puma Mariano Galarza who will start in the second-row for Gloucester.

Concluding the round will be a home match for the Leicester Tigers against the competitions leading Saracens. Veteran Puma Marcos Ayerza will play loosehead prop for the home side and scrum down opposite Juan Figallo who will start at tighthead prop for Saracens.

Also involved for Saracens are to be three Eagles and one further Puma. Chris Wyles will play on the left wing, outside Marcelo Bosch who will play outside center. On the bench this weekend will be Hayden Smith and Titi Lamositele.
