Exeter signs North American duo Hope Rogers and Gabrielle Senft

Exeter Chiefs have added two more North Americans to their roster for the remainder of the Premier 15s season. USA Eagles prop Hope Rogers and Canadian back row Gabrielle Senft make the move to England to prepare for October’s Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

Rogers is one of the USA’s most experienced players with 33 test caps, including appearances at both the 2014 and 2017 World Cups. Unusually for a front rower she has also played for the Eagles in three events on the World Sevens Series.

For Senft it’s a return to England having lined up for Bristol three years ago. She has also spent time in Australia with the Queensland Reds. Senft started at No8 for Canada against the USA this past fall and is also comfortable on the flank.

The duo make it 11 North Americans all told at Exeter. USA representatives include flankers Kate Zackary and Rachel Johnston, flyhalf Megan Foster, center Gabby Cantorna, and winger Jennine Detiveaux. The other four Canadians at the club are front row trio Olivia DeMerchant, Emily Tuttosi, and DaLeaka Menin, and second row McKinley Hunt.
