Alev Kelter signs for Saracens

Saracens have announced the signing of USA Eagles international Alev Kelter for the remainder of the Premier 15s season. The two-time Olympian departs the World Sevens Series to focus on earning a place at this year’s World Cup in New Zealand.

Kelter, 30, has played in 36 events on the Sevens circuit since making her debut in 2014. She has also played 9 tests for the Women’s Eagles, mostly at center, and earned selection to RWC 2017 in Ireland. A multi-sport athlete growing up, Kelter also played for USA junior teams in both ice hockey and soccer.

There are now six North American players at Saracens. Eagles scrumhalf Carly Waters joins Kelter as USA representatives with a quartet of Canadians on the books – prop Alex Ellis, hooker Mackenzie Carson, flanker Janna Slevinsky, and outside back Alysha Corrigan.
