Mario Sagario will play for Uruguay in their final match of the Americas Rugby Championship against the US Eagles on Saturday. The World Cup tighthead prop has received clearance from his Irish club Munster to participate in a crucial match that could have Uruguay finishing as high as second place. Los Teros are currently in 4th with two wins and two losses, having defeated Chile in Santiago in round four.
The 29-year-old has won 51 caps for his country since his debut against Chile in 2006. He started all four of Uruguay’s tests in the 2015 World Cup. Sagario signed for Munster on a short-term deal in October that was extended to the end of the season in January. He has appeared in 14 matches this season for the Irish province across all competitions, including four Champions Cup games in which he started once.
