Gloucester hooker Todd Gleave signs for Dallas Jackals

Dallas have added another front rower to their ranks with the addition of hooker Todd Gleave for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old joins the Jackals directly from the English Premiership after securing an early release from his Gloucester contract.

Gleave developed in the Bath academy system but made his professional debut with London Scottish at the age of 19. He then had spells with Rosslyn Park and London Irish before signing with Gloucester in 2018. In three seasons since Gleave had 25 senior appearances with the Cherry & Whites.

It’s the fourth Premiership addition for Dallas and the second from Gloucester with outside center Henry Trinder previously confirmed. Worcester fullback Chris Pennell and prop Ryan Bower have also signed on for the team’s first MLR campaign. Other senior front rowers include hooker Dewald Kotze, and props Rory O’Connor, Alex Tucci, and Liam Murray.
