Brazil name group for USA match

Os Tupis have named their group of 23 to face the US Eagles in round four of the Americas Rugby Championship. Six players who did not appear in the loss to Canada on the weekend have been included, three of whom are new to the tournament. First choice flyhalf and goal kicker David Harvey is again the most notable absentee, and it now appears unlikely he will play any further part in the ARC.

Four changes are made in the forwards. At prop Vitor Ancina has been replaced by the massive figure of Caique Silva, while Gabriel Paganini covers lock and loose forward in place of Matheus Wolf. Flankers Cléber Dias and Mark Jackson are absent, replaced by newcomers André Arrude and Diego Lopez.

Another new name is national u20 standout Robert Tenório who replaces Lucas Muller. Martin Schaefer has been selected to cover the midfield in place of Mateus Estrela, the only player not to see the field in Langford. The starting lineups for the match will be named tomorrow.

The match takes place at Arena Barueri in São Paulo, kickoff at 8pm local, 6pm EST.
