Adam Ashley-Cooper will take on a new position with the LA Giltinis. The Wallabies centurion announced his retirement after the Championship Final win over Rugby ATL, but he will stay on with the team as an Assistant Coach under new Head Coach and fellow Australian international Stephen Hoiles.
While coaching is a new endeavor for Ashley-Cooper, he brings no shortage of experience. In addition to his 121 test caps the 37-year-old has over 150 Super Rugby games on his resume as well as stints in the French Top 14 with Bordeaux Bègles and the Japan Top League with Kobelco Steelers.
Ashley-Cooper has most recently been working with Collegiate Draft picks Sam Klimkowski, James O’Neill, and Gerald Lowe to introduce them to the Giltinis set-up. Moving forward he will focus on attack while working alongside returning Backs Coach Orene Ai’i.
