Americas Rankings – July 25, 2021

The Americas Rankings is an exclusive on Americas Rugby News. The rankings compare the men’s test teams from throughout the Americas. Matches recognized as caps are used for the rankings. Teams yet to compete since the Americas Rankings began are listed with 30.00 points.

The July 18, 2021 edition considers the result of today’s Rugby World Cup 2023 qualifier. Uruguay had home advantage against Brazil. Uruguay went into the match with a ranking of 67.02 points while Brazil had 56.32 points. The gulf in points meant that an Uruguayan victory would see no change to either team. Uruguay’s 36-13 win thereby sees no change in the rankings.

The Americas Rankings will be updated again when international competition resumes. There is still plenty to look forward to in 2021. Argentina will play six away matches in the Rugby Championship. They will begin with two against the Springboks in South Africa in August. Canada and the USA will play RWC qualifiers in September.
