Pumitas Too Strong for Georgia

Los Pumitas were too Strong for Georgia today, winning 36-17 in a warm-up match ahead of this year’s Junior World Championship in Manchester, England.

Playing with a number of players to have featured in the Americas Rugby Championship’s opening two rounds, Los Pumitas are actively building a team to challenge for a competitive placing in England in June.

Georgia started strong with a 6th minute penalty from scrum half Gela Aprasidze but Los Pumitas responded straight away with the opening try of the match. Los Pumitas crossed for three opening half tries, two more than Georgia to go into half time with a 22-10 advantage.

Georgia hit back with a try early in the second half but with Domingo Miotti (pictured) converting Bautista Delguy’s tries the South Americans were able to see off the Eastern Europeans and win convincingly.
