With the Six Nations taking a break this weekend there is to be great focus in Europe on the Aviva Premiership, Guinness Pro 12 and Top 14 competitions. In England there are to be a host of Americas Players involved in week 13 of the Premiership.
Starting off week 13 will be one of the great rivalries – Harlequins vs Leicester Both clubs have been home to big name players from the Americas over the years. Argentina’s biggest name in England in the professional era, Marcos Ayerza is to start this weekend at loosehead prop.
Coming off a horror thrashing against the Wasps last weekend the competition leading Saracens are looking for a far better showing on Saturday against Gloucester. Starting will be USA Eagles veterans Chris Wyles and Hayden Smith while the young Titi Lamositele will be a replacement. Also named on the bench are Pumas Marcelo Bosch and Juan Figallo. Mariano Galarza will play second-row for Gloucester.
The struggling Bath will have their work cut out at home against the high-flying Wasps on Saturday. Competition points are becoming increasingly important for mid-table sides such as Bath. Playing wing at the Recreation Ground will be Horacio Agulla.
Bottom of the table London Irish are another in grave need of points and their home match against the Exeter Chiefs is to be a tough assignment. Sitting second in the standings, Exeter, are in the middle of their greatest season in history. Ciaran Hearn will play out of position for the home side on the left wing.
Currently out of the relegation zone the Newcastle Falcons require another remarkable performance if they are to come away with points against the Northampton Saints in Sunday’s second match. Puma Juan Pablo Socino has been named on the bench.
