The USA Eagles hosted Canada this past Saturday in the second round of the inaugural Americas Rugby Championship. Played in the capital of Texas, Austin the home side produced a good display to join the Argentina XV at the top of the competition standings.
Both the USA and Canada are to be playing again this coming weekend. In Round three of the Americas Rugby Championship Canada will host the winless Brazil in Langford, British Columbia while the USA take on Uruguay in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
In losing Canada lost Americas Rugby Rankings points and is now below Russia in the World Rugby World Rankings in 19th. A win over Brazil will not change Canada’s ranking due to the significant difference between the sides. A big win for the Eagles, on the other hand, will see further gains for the now undisputed top North American team.
