Glendale, Colorado’s Infinity Park will be the setting for a Rugby World Cup 2023 qualifier on Saturday, September 11. The venue will play host to the second of two RWC qualifiers between the USA and Canada.
The two North American countries join five South American countries in the Americas RWC 2023 qualifiers. Argentina has already qualified. Click here for information on the new format for Americas RWC Qualifiers.
The South American qualifiers begin this month with Brazil at home against Paraguay. North America’s turn will come later; the two-match USA vs Canada series will take-place in September.
The winner of South America’s Round Two (SAR) will face the winner of Canada vs USA (RAN). The winner of SAR vs RAN will qualify for RWC 2023 as Americas 1. Americas 1 will competed in Pool A against France, New Zealand, Italy, and Africa 1.
The SAR runner-up and the runner-up of Canada vs USA will also meet in a RWC qualifier. The winner of this contest will face the loser of SARN vs RAN. The winner of that contest will qualify for RWC 2023 as Americas 2. The loser will enter repechage as Americas 3. Americas 3 will compete in Pool D of RWC 2023 against Argentina, England, Japan, and Oceania 1.
