Mario Ledesma has named a 67-man Argentine roster for 2021. The head coach of Los Pumas has selected players from around the world. Of the 67 players 44 play in Europe and Australia and 23 played in the 2021 Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR).
The first roster for international competition will be named in the coming days. It will be Ledesma’s roster to travel to Wales for the July Internationals. Before the roster is named, Argentina may confirm an additional test match for July. A match against Romania on July 03 has been rumored.
The SLAR players will train in Argentina’s high performance centers. Those based in Argentina who are named on the July roster will need to quarantine for 10 days in the UK.
Ledesma noted:
“This list sends a message to the players, so that they know that we are watching and evaluating all of them, and that we are taking them into account this year and also further down the road, with the final objective of the France 2023 World Cup.”
