USA to face England in London on Independence Day

The USA will face England in London on Independence Day. The match will take place on Sunday, July 04 at Twickenham Stadium. It is to be the first of two test matches for the Eagles and their first since RWC 2019.

The historic occasion will be the first of two July Internationals for the USA Eagles. The second will be on Saturday, July 10 against Ireland in Dublin. The two matches offer excellent opposition for the USA; it is a rare Tier 1 tour. The tour falls three years after the USA famously defeated Scotland in Houston.

The tour will not only test the Eagles against Tier 1 opposition, it will also help prepare the team for the all-important RWC 2023 qualifiers. The USA and Canada will square-off later on in 2021. With progress having been made from South American test sides the July Internationals take-on increasing importance.

Canada will also be touring in July. The Canadians will face Wales and England on the same weekends in which the USA face England and Ireland. The North Americans had been scheduled to play home test matches against England in July. Argentina will also now be touring rather than playing at home.
