This weekend’s Premier 15s will serve as an avenue for some of the world’s best players to take out their frustrations following this week’s revelation that Rugby World Cup 2021 will be postponed. There is still much to play for in the English domestic league, however, and two matches featuring North American players will be streamed live on Saturday.
Saracens start things off against Bristol Bears with three Canadians in the starting lineup. Emma Taylor is named in the second row with Sophie de Goede on the blindside flank. Running out in the No13 jersey is Alysha Corrigan who is awarded her first start in the black and red.
Kickoff is set for 1pm local time, 8am Eastern, 5am Pacific. A live stream will be available on the Saracens website. Registration is required but there is no cost to view the match.
Exeter again feature a side packed with North American players to face Wasps. In the forwards there are Canadians Olivia DeMerchant, Emily Tuttosi, and McKinley Hunt in the tight five with Eagles stars Rachel Johnson and Kate Zackary in the back row.
Canada’s Taylor Black starts at fullback, with the USA’s Gabby Cantorna at inside center. Another Eagles international Joanna Kitlinski acts as Tuttosi’s backup on the bench.
Kickoff is set for 2pm local time, 9am Eastern, 6am Pacific. A live stream will be available on YouTube.
Loughborough Lightning will field a largely reserve side against Durham Sharks. Both DaLeaka Menin and Abby Duguid are named among the reserves.
Sunday’s match between Worcester and Sale will feature two players of note. Canada’s Paige Farries lines up on the right wing for the Warriors, with former USA fullback Jess Wooden starting for the Sharks.
