Chris Brown has named a group of 16 Women’s Eagles players that will travel to Spain for two upcoming sevens tournaments. With the World Sevens Series still on hiatus, an Olympic preparation tournament has been organized in Madrid for the weekends of February 19-21 and February 26-27.
The 12-person roster for the first weekend includes two players yet to win their first Sevens Series caps. Sui A’au and Nia Toliver will have a chance to push their cases for Tokyo inclusion, with Jazmine Gray a third uncapped player among the traveling reserves.
Six teams will be competing at the tournament, though the other five have yet to be revealed. A full schedule and streaming information will be released ahead of the opening weekend.
