San Diego signs Waratahs wing Cameron Clark

The San Diego Legion has announced the signing of former Australia Sevens star Cameron Clark for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. He arrives from the Waratahs, having most recently appeared on the wing during the Super Rugby Australia competition.

Clark, 27, spent five seasons on the World Sevens Series and was a leading player for his country at the 2016 Olympic Games. He then switched his focus to the 15-a-side version and joined the Waratahs in 2017, featuring regularly over the past four Super Rugby campaigns.

Primarily a winger for the Waratahs, Clark has also featured as an outside center for Northern Suburbs in the Shute Shield and at fullback for the Sydney Rays in the National Rugby Championship (NRC). He could be an option at any of those spots in MLR and follows previously announced Bjorn Basson and Cecil Afrika to the Legion’s backline.
