Scotland No8 Adam Ashe moves from Glasgow to LA

Scotland dual-international Adam Ashe is heading to Los Angeles. The 6’4″ (1.93m) No8 departs Glasgow Warriors after eight seasons to join the expansion Giltinis for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. He follows Exeter Chiefs lock Dave Dennis in making the move from the UK to the USA.

Ashe made his Scotland debut on the World Sevens Series as an 18-year-old and played at the 2012 Las Vegas Sevens. He then lined up for the national u20s before making his test debut against South Africa in 2014. Now 27, Ashe won his 6th cap against Italy in the build-up to Rugby World Cup 2015.

Injuries have taken their toll on his career but now fully healed from shoulder surgery, Ashe should be a standout in MLR. He is also the co-founder of Pure Sport CBD, a therapeutic cannabidiol product used by athletes to reduce joint pain. Ashe says he hopes to expand the business once settling in California.
