Rosters named for Stars and Stripes series

Women’s Eagles Head Coach Rob Cain has named 49 players to take part in the upcoming Stars and Stripes series. The two sides will go head-to-head at Infinity Park on November 18 and 21 as a conclusion to the eight week high performance camp.

Three additional players have been called in who were not on the original camp roster, all arriving from the Eagles Sevens squad. Jordan Matyas, Kristi Kirshe, and Ilona Maher will take part with an eye towards participation at Rugby World Cup 2021.

Almost half the group – 24 players – are uncapped at senior test level. There are 11 inclusions from the newly-formed Colorado Gray Wolves, comprised of players from the now-defunct Glendale Merlins side that won the Women’s Premier League in 2019.
