Axel Müller impresses in Brive defeat against Clermont

Axel Müller impressed for Brive on Saturday. His team were defeated 43-21 by Clermont. The result masks the performance of the 2016 Argentine Olympian. In the 42nd minute Müller provided a try assist for Simon Pierre Chauvac. Then he scored a try of his own in the 66th minute.

Despite wearing the no 11 shirt, Müller played on the right wing. Both aforementioned tries were scored with him playing in that area of the field.

The 26-year-old Müller is from Mendoza. He lived in Phoenix, Arizona between the ages of 9 to 17. He played 7’s for Argentina, including at the Rio 2016 Olympics. Since then he has played professional rugby in France. He remains uncapped by Los Pumas.

Brive’s loss sees the club falling to 12th position. Clermont are in pole position with a five point lead.
