The Dallas Jackals have signed Argentine flanker Conrado Roura for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. He arrives after suiting up for Ceibos in the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby, where he was restricted to just one replacement appearance before the season was suspended due to COVID-19.
Known for his mobility and handling skills, Roura was a starter for Los Pumitas at the 2016 World Rugby u20 Championship. He then graduated directly to the senior Pumas team on the World Sevens Series, which culminated in selection to the 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens in San Francisco.
The 24-year-old, originally from the Palermo Bajo club in Córdoba, follows Namibian international Wian Conradie in joining the Jackals back row stocks along with draft picks Bronson Teles and Tommy Clark. Roura is the fourth import player confirmed including Scottish hooker James Malcolm and Samoan lock Theo McFarland.
