Aparejadores sign Chilean Augusto Sarmiento

Division de Honor club Deportivo Aparejadores Rugby Burgos, known as UBU-Colina Clinic for sponsorship reasons, have signed Chilean Augusto Sarmiento. The Spanish club have signed Sarmiento from rivals Complutense Cisneros for the 2020-2021 season.

Sarmiento comes from the traditional Santiago club Prince of Wales Country Club (PWCC).  The 27-year-old is a welcome addition to the club and his country is also set to benefit. He has six caps for Chile, five of which came in 2019. He featured in the tough matches against Portugal, Romania and Spain.

The PWCC product plays in the second-row. He stands at 1.94m tall and weighs 110kg. He is noted for his defense and set-piece play, especially his lineout work. In joining Aparejadores he will link up with fellow Chilean Nicolás Herreros.
