Free Jacks sign England u19 center Harry Barlow

The New England Free Jacks have announced the signing of 20-year-old center Harry Barlow in a two-year deal through the 2022 Major League Rugby season. He arrives from English Premiership club Harlequins, where he has been part of the academy program for the past six years.

Barlow attended Cranleigh School in Surrey, where he was vice-captain of the team while earning international honors. He represented England up to u19 level and also at the Rugby 7s event of the 2017 Youth Commonwealth Games. This past season he played four matches for RFU Championship club London Scottish on loan.

Though he has worn the red rose at international level thus far, Barlow could soon find himself conversing with Eagles selectors. He qualifies for the USA through a grandfather born in San Francisco and has family members currently residing in America.

New England have now confirmed three new additions for the 2021 season including former Sharks captain Tera Mtembu and Scotland international Dougie Fife. USA flyhalf Tadhg Leader has been extended, with the next signing announcement scheduled for Thursday.
