Dallas signs USA u20 standout Ryan James

The Dallas Jackals have announced the signing of outside back Ryan James from the Colorado Raptors. He is the 6th player from the withdrawn Glendale franchise to join the expansion side ahead of their inaugural Major League Rugby campaign.

James, who turns 21 in September, was in his second stint with the Raptors after spending the 2019 season in the San Diego Legion academy. He made his senior competitive debut as a replacement against the Toronto Arrows in the final week of the 2020 season.

A three-time High School All-American, James was called into the senior Eagles Sevens training camp as a 17-year-old in November 2016. Last year he was selected on the right wing for the Junior All-American side in their series against Canada u20. James also qualifies for Samoa via his mother.
