Namibia flanker Wian Conradie signs for Dallas

The Dallas Jackals have announced the signing of Namibian international Wian Conradie for their inaugural Major League Rugby campaign. Now a veteran of two World Cup campaigns, the 25-year-old appeared in two of Namibia’s three matches in Japan, starting against Italy.

Conradie is a dynamic, ball carrying forward equally capable of playing flanker or No8, though it’s at openside where he has settled recently for club and country. He arrives from Doncaster Knights in the RFU Championship who he joined in November following his international commitments.

Since making his test debut at the age of 20 in 2015, Conradie has won 19 caps of which 14 are starts. He is the second Namibian loose forward to arrive in MLR following Adriaan Booysen of the Houston SaberCats. Former Namibia prop Kees Lensing is the current Head Coach of the Seattle Seawolves.
