The Americas will have players in action in Week 8 of the Aviva Premiership which takes place this weekend. Of note is the naming of Argentine winger Gonzalo Camacho in the Leicester Tigers run-on team. It is to be his first start for the club he joined over two years ago. Shoulder reconstruction complications followed an injury he picked up playing against New Zealand in 2013.
Camacho will start on the right wing against the Aviva Premiership leaders, Saracens. He is to be joined in the starting lineup by Marcos Ayerza who will play loosehead prop. Ayerza was named by Americas Rugby News as the second greatest player of all time from the Americas to have played in the Premiership. Camacho also made the list, coming in at number 12.
Opposing Camacho as the Saracens left winger will be another player to have made the select list as Chris Wyles will wear the no. 11 shirt. His USA Eagles teammate Titi Lamositele has been named as a replacement prop while Marcelo Bosch will start at outside center.
Gloucester’s home match against London Irish will feature six changes to the home side which inclde Tom Savage replacing Argentine Mariano Galarza. The Exiles, meanwhile, are to field the same starting XV that won for the first time this season last weekend. As such Canadian Ciaran Hearn will play outside center while Jebb Sinclair is to provide cover from the bench with the no. 19 shirt.
London Irish’s win puts pressure on the bottom of the table Newcastle Falcons who remain winless in the Premiership this season. The Falcons will enter with World Cup Puma Juan Pablo Socino at inside center while former USA Eagles captain, Todd Clever and former Argentine winger Belisario Agulla have both been named as replacements.
Newcastle’s opponents, Bath come to town with three changes from the side that defeated the Worcester Warriors last weekend. Moving from the left wing to the right is Horacio Agulla. The now retired Puma scored against Worcester and now awaits the opportunity of playing against his brother.
