NOLA Gold lose Ignacio Dotti for two months

NOLA Gold have lost Ignacio Dotti for two to three months. The Uruguayan second-rower suffered a fractured forearm this past Saturday while playing for NOLA Gold against the Colorado Raptors in Glendale.

The 25-year-old Dotti is into his second season with the NOLA Gold. He joined the side on his first professional contract from Los Cuervos. He did so already as a test player and has now gone on to make 50 appearances. The four most recent caps were at RWC 2019 where he played in all of Los Teros’ matches.

Uruguayan journalist Ignacio Chans notes that Dotti has undergone surgery and is to return to Uruguay for his recovery. This will see him out of action for a lengthy period and he now faces a race against time to return to the field in May.

The NOLA Gold’s first match in May is to be against the Toronto Arrows in Canada on May 03. The round 13 match  will be followed by four further regular season matches before the Semi Finals take place on June 07.
