Patricio Fernández pivotal in Lyon victory over Racing 92

Patricio Fernández was pivotal in Lyon’s victory over Racing 92 today. The two-time capped Argentine back played fly half for Lyon and scored 19 points in what was a 29-20 home victory over the Parisians.

Fernández was Lyon’s fly half and played outside French international scrum-half Baptiste Couilloud. He was joined in the starting line-up by fellow Argentine Francisco Goméz Kodela. Involved for Racing 92 was RWC 2011 and 2015 Pumas speedster, Juan Imhoff.

Lyon’s victory sees the club remaining in second position in the Top 14. For Racing 92, the defeat means the club occupy 4th position together with Toulon on 41 points. Bordeaux are the competition leaders with 57 points, four more than Lyon.
