Dates and matches confirmed for inaugural u20 ARC

Rugby Americas has confirmed the dates and matches for the inaugural u20 Americas Rugby Championship. As previously reported the tournament will be hosted at the Estadio Charrúa in Montevideo however the dates and pools have been revised.

Matches will be played on three days – June 10, 14, and 18 – with three games each day. Pool A will consist of Argentina, Canada, and Chile, with hosts Uruguay, Paraguay, and the USA grouped in Pool B. Each pool will play matches against teams from the opposite pool.

The opening match day of the tournament will be headlined by the Canada vs USA game will doubles as a winner-take-all qualifier for September’s World Rugby u20 Trophy. Also notable is the inclusion of Paraguay, who earned their spot by beating Brazil in the South American u19 Championship.
