Three prominent Argentina XV players have begun their journey to the USA to join up with Major League Rugby sides. Nicolás Solveyra, Julián Domínguez, and Diego Fortuny have at last departed after waiting out visa delays that have also affected Seattle-bound countryman Juan Manuel Leguizamón.
The arrivals of loosehead prop Solveyra and hooker Fortuny, the latter a capped Puma, will be a major relief for SaberCats fans. Houston have been unable to name a full compliment of front row players in either of their preseason fixtures but will now have a complete squad available for their season opener against Colorado on February 8.
Domínguez will add firepower out wide to an already impressive Gold backs division. The team has looked at returnees Nick Feakes, Tim Maupin, Shawn Riley, and Joeli Tikoisuva on the wing in the preseason along with newcomers Jonathan Poole and Kenneth Jinkins. NOLA also open on the 8th opposite Old Glory DC.
