MLR moves Vegas games to Sam Boyd Stadium

Major League Rugby has announced a change in venue for the five regular season games set to be played in Las Vegas next month. Originally scheduled to take place at Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin, the games have now been moved to Sam Boyd Stadium in Whitney.

The venue is a familiar one to USA fans as the home of the former Las Vegas stop on the HSBC Sevens Series. It’s capacity of 40,000 is four times that of the Ballpark. Four games will coincide with the Las Vegas Invitational tournament which will also take place at Sam Boyd from February 13-16.

Fans who have purchased tickets through Ticketmaster have been advised by MLR that they will be refunded with discounted tickets offered through the new ticket vendor, UNLV. More information can be found on the official MLR site.
