Nicolás Sbrocco with Destination Italy not Ceibos

Argentine back-rower, Nicolás Sbrocco has confirmed his playing future. The 25-year-old from Tucumán has an Italian destination rather than Los Ceibos. With a background playing for the Argentina XV, Sbrocco is attached to Argentina.

Sbrocco will swap Universitario for Perugia. The move to Italy comes despite there having been offers to play in the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR). Indeed, a number of his club mates recently signed for the Olímpia Lions.

His move to Italy marks his first professional contract. His new club, Perugia, is also home to another Argentine player, Fausto Fortunato. The club is currently playing in Italy’s second division.
