Americas players in Challenge Cup Week 4

Round four of the European Challenge Cup got underway on Thursday evening with two matches being played. Puma Mariano Galarza started in the second-row for Gloucester who defeated his former club, the Worcester Warriors 27-13.

A much closer second fixture saw Montpellier snatching a 23-22 victory against the visiting Cardiff Blues. Among the replacements for the Welsh region was USA Eagles outside back Blaine Scully. Cam Dolan, however, did not feature.

In action later on today will be Jason Marshall. The Canadian prop has, surprisingly, been named as reserve hooker for Agen who play away to fellow Top 14 side Grenoble. Fellow Canadians Jebb Sinclair and Ciarn Hearn will not be involved for London Irish who face Edinburgh in Scotland this evening.

In action on Saturday for Zebre will be Gonzalo García. The Mendoza mid-fielder will start in Parma against La Rochelle. Lining up in the second-row for the visitors will be Leandro Cedaro who, like García, is an Argentine player capped by Italy. Meanwhile former Puma Guillermo Roan has been named on Zebre’s bench.

Starting on Sunday for Calvisano will be Pablo Canavosio. The former Italian international scrum half is another player produced by Argentina. He will play at outside center against the Harlequins who competed a huge win in last week’s fixture.

Also playing on Sunday will be former Puma Belisario Agulla who has been named on the right wing for the Newcastle Falcons who play home to Irish province Connacht. Missing for the visitors is the injured Eagle AJ MacGinty while Todd Clever and Eric Fry who have been left out of the Falcons roster. World Cup Puma Juan Pablo Socino, will feature from the bench.
