The USA started off the new World Sevens season in the best possible way with a Cup Final win at home in Glendale. Following a two month circuit break, the team will be looking to carry that form over to Dubai next weekend in the first of six combined men’s and women’s events on this year’s circuit.
Chris Brown has made two changes to his squad with youngsters Kasey McCravey and Stephanie Rovetti making way for Kris Thomas and Kayla Canett. Thomas immediately steps into the revolving leadership role while Abby Gustaitis also continues as co-captain.
The three-day tournament kicks off on December 5 and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Gold. All three Americas teams have been drawn in Pool A with Brazil, Canada, and Russia squaring off against the Women’s Eagles in the opening stage.
