The 2019 Super Rugby season concluded earlier today with the final. Played in Christchurch, New Zealand the Crusaders were 19-3 winners over first time finalists, Los Jaguares.
The match went down in history as the lowest scoring final of all-time. Both teams have had high-scoring wins this season yet what had often separated them for other was their defense. It was, indeed, this which was the theme of the final.
With the Super Rugby Final now over players from both the Crusaders, and Jaguares can prepare for the Rugby Championship. Many from both are expected to feature in the competition which begins on Saturday July 20.
Based on the final the nucleus of both the All Blacks, and Los Pumas will be well placed for RWC 2019. New Zealand are the two-time defending RWC champions while Argentina played in the 2015 Semi Finals. Los Jaguares’ season sees Argentina being talked about as a threat for Japan 2019.
