MLR Full Match – San Diego Legion vs Rugby United New York

The first of two Major League Rugby Semi Finals on Sunday was played in San Diego. A vocal Torero Stadium crowd was there to support the Legion as they faced Rugby United New York in what turned out to be an exciting and confrontational fixture between the two coastal representatives.

San Diego were missing Eagles stars Dylan Audsley and Mike Te’o but otherwise fielded an powerful squad including new Italian lock Joshua Furno. RUNY had a nearly identical lineup to the one that played in Toronto, with the return of Mark O’Keeffe on the wing.
