Sábato to win 50th Sevens Cap in London

Franco Sábato will play in his 50th HSBC Sevens Series event for Argentina in London this weekend. It comes seven years after the winger made his at the Edinburgh tournament in May 2012. The 29-year-old has since played in the 2016 Olympic Games and 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens.

Sábato follows in the footsteps of teammate Gastón Revol, who has continued to represent the Pumas despite stepping down as captain earlier this season. Nearing the mark is veteran forward Fernando Luna, while new captain Santiago Álvarez is set to win his 40th cap in Paris next weekend.

Argentina are now in 8th spot on the table and trail Australia by only one point with 6th-place Samoa another seven points ahead. The Pumas have been draw in Pool A along with South Africa, Canada, and Japan. A complete list of fixtures can be seen here.
