The top two teams on the Major League Rugby table went toe-to-toe on Saturday in an exciting match that delivered everything fans were hoping for. Both the NOLA Gold and the visiting San Diego Legion look likely to qualify for the Semi Finals but there is still seeding to play for and the regular season title.
San Diego arrived at NOLA without two key backs in Dylan Audsley and Ryan Matyas, while flanker Devin Short was also sidelined. New Orleans were missing star forward Kyle Baillie but welcomed the return of regular flyhalf Scott Gale.
